Sea kayaking: Challenge Yourself – Cornwall Kayak Challenge
Challenge Yourself is a charity kayak/cycle event circumnavigating Cornwall in aid of Ellie’s Haven, the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity and Heroes on the Water UK. The aim is to paddle the entire length of the Cornish coast in just seven days with a 35-mile bike ride in the middle.
Thomas Gigg and Kevin Gray – will be starting the Challenge under the Tamar Bridge on 26th August, midday to catch the tide. They will paddle and wild camp round to Bude where they then have to cycle from Bude to Tamar tidal zone again – 36 miles by bike (a real problem for Kev with no ankles and calipers!) Then back in the kayaks to finish the water.

Kevin Gray
Kayak UK have supplied the two kayaks (Kaskazi Marlins) needed for the Challenge, as owner, Simon Everett, is a trustee of the Heroes on the Water UK Charity.
We at the Paddler wish them all the very best of luck and further information on the Challenge and how to donate are available here… https://www.facebook.com/challengeyourselfcircumnavigation/
