Palm Equipment new products on display at Paddle Expo, Nuremberg
Palm Equipment were exhibiting at Nuremberg with their usual very large eye-catching stand. Paul Robertson took 30 minutes out his busy schedule to explain Palm’s newest offerings for the year ahead.
As Dagger’s European distributor, pride of place was given to Dagger’s new and updated Nomad WW kayak with more of everything including speed, volume and optimized rocker.
Paul was then keen to show us Palm’s new Glide Inflatable Waistbelt suited for the SUP market where paddlers find normal buoyancy aids to be too restrictive or warm. If a paddler gets into difficulties on the water, they simply flick a switch on the gas canister and the jacket contained inside immediately pops out and inflates.
Next was the current Camber and Gradient shoe range plus the all new Camber Air River shoe with the same grippy Vibram sole but with more and lighter meshing plus collapsable heel.
Paul then went into detail on the new fleece technical insulation for the Palm Drysuits and also showed off the new range of spraydecks for 2016 including the Orbit – all top notch quality equipment.
Finally, look out for our future story to be featured in the Paddler on Palm Equipment’s factory in Hanoi, Vietnam. We later met up with Palm Director Bob Slee who described the manufacturing processes to us and one to look out for in the Winter issues.
