Tahe Outdoors acquires the kayak and paddle business of the top German competitor Megasports Vertriebs GmbH.

“The acquisition of strong German brands like Robson & Bondibeach kayaks, as well as Robson and Lightning paddles is a significant milestone in our strategy to become the number one watersports company in Europe and building a truly global solution in one stop shopping for all water sports products” stated Janek Pohla, one of the owners of Tahe Outdoors.

Tahe Outdoors, is already a water sports market leader in Scandinavia, acquired in 2013 the French paddle manufacturing icon Egalis S.A.S, and now with the addition of German brands controls a significant share of the European water sports market. This acquisition brings to Tahe Outdoors new valuable German brands, product lines and sales networks in lucrative market segments, which will now enable the company to meet its customers demands with a complete composite paddle portfolio, whitewater kayaks, and specialized rental kayaks and canoes.

Tahe Outdoors: one of the biggest European manufacturer of watersports equipment is operating with eight brands – Tahe Marine kayaks, Zegul kayaks, Trapper inflatables, Egalis paddles, Beluga watersports clothing and apparel, Robson kayaks, Bondibeach kayaks and Lightning paddles.

Megasports: founded in 1992 is the top German paddle and kayak manufacturer located in Regen, near Munich, Germany.
